Books closed Sunday. You found out Monday morning.
Most small teams close the books late, by hand, on a Friday nobody wanted to work. Viktor does it before you ask. He is an AI employee that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams and runs your month-end close on a schedule. He reconciles Stripe, QuickBooks, and your bank, catches duplicate charges and anomalies, disputes them, updates the runway model, and rebuilds the board deck. Sunday night it is done and posted to #finance. Monday morning you read it with coffee, already finished. Viktor works across 3,200+ integrations, keeps your data private (it never trains models on it), and is SOC 2 certified. Start free with $100 in credits, no credit card.

COUNCIL HOUSING SHAKE-UP
🏠 Croydon Council has approved a new temporary accommodation charging policy, with 98 per cent of 337 households protected from any rent rise.
The Cabinet-backed move brings charges at Concord House, Sycamore House and Windsor House in line with Housing Benefit regulations after individual assessments for every household.
Read the Council decision here.
🏠 The policy is expected to generate £1.4 million a year as pressure on temporary accommodation keeps climbing across the borough.
Mayor Jason Perry said: "The demand for temporary accommodation continues to grow, and councils cannot simply ignore the financial pressures that come with it."

MAYDAY A&E UNDER PRESSURE
🏥 Croydon University Hospital’s A&E has been rated "Requires improvement" by the CQC for the fourth time, with inspectors flagging serious delays and dignity concerns.
The report found 680 to 815 patients a month waiting more than 12 hours for beds, with some people stuck in A&E for 34 to 127 hours.
Read the full CQC report here.
🏥 Inspectors praised staff as "kind", but corridor care, privacy breaches, 114 complaints and 80 mental health patient absconding incidents show the pressure is still biting.
The Trust says it recognises the strain and is increasing staffing levels and assessment capacity to improve patient flow and safety.
