🌟 COMMUNITY WINS: PROUD PEOPLE, LOCAL PLACES

🌍 REAL CROYDON RECAP

A recent community feature may have missed some of the borough’s brightest qualities, but the figures tell a more hopeful story: 81.3% of Croydon residents say people from different backgrounds get on well locally, while 36.3% took part in civic life.

That is Croydon showing up, connecting across differences and proving that community spirit is active, not abstract.

🐟 CASTELLAS SEARCHES FOR A SOLUTION

Castellas Fish and Chips, a much loved South Croydon fixture, is still seeking replacement parts for its vintage fryer.

If you know a reliable catering equipment contact who could help, pass the lead through the original community appeal and help keep a local favourite moving forward.

✈️ AIRPORT OPEN DAY THANKS

The Historic Croydon Airport Open Day and the London Radical Book Fair both took place on Sunday 06/09/2026.

A huge thank you to the volunteers who keep Croydon's cultural life moving; the Airport Trust normally opens on the first Sunday of the month, so check the official listings for the next confirmed 2026 date before travelling.
