Council Tax Support: drop-in help in South Norwood today
With Croydon Council consulting on changes to Council Tax Support, a drop-in session at South Norwood Community Kitchen (Socco Cheta, 44b Portland Road, SE25) is giving residents the chance to ask questions and share their experiences. South West London Law Centres will be there from 10am, and no expertise is needed, just turn up. The proposals could affect disabled residents, lone parents of under-fives and people on very low incomes, and the council also wants to hear from veterans facing money worries. Quick hits
Weather: Sunny and 15°C at best, but expect a wet, blustery start with heavy rain and gusts of up to 39mph around 5-8am. It dries out by midday. [CHECK: forecast was for Crystal Palace, re-check Croydon before sending] (Met Office)
Trams: Almost half the network is shut for planned half-term works, with full service due back on 6 November. Separately, a track fault has closed Lebanon Road stop and stopped trams between Arena and Elmers End. Check TfL before you travel. [CHECK: exact sections and replacement buses not confirmed] (Inside Croydon)
On stage: Folk-rock veteran Maddy Prior talks about 55 years with Steeleye Span ahead of their Ashcroft Theatre show on Thursday 5 November. (Inside Croydon)
Men, You've Been Misinformed
Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.
Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.
Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
